Radiohead to perform at ‘Later… with Jools Holland’
Not only Canal+ France wil broadcast the Radiohead concert, which was recorded last month, Canal+ Netherlands will do the same. First Dutch broadcast is set for June 5th at 22:25 hours. This will be followed an hour later by a ‘Making of…’ special. These two shows will be rebroadcast later that month. The French broadcast will be at 22:15 hours on the same day.
It’s now confirmed that Radiohead will play a live hour long set for the BBC UK music show ‘Later with Jools Holland’ to be broadcast on Saturday June 9. Click here to find out how to win tickets. According to NME, It is expected the band’s set will consist mainly of material from their forthcoming album ‘Amnesiac’ as well as selected tracks from their previous albums ‘Kid A’, ‘OK Computer’ and ‘The Bends’.The broadcast will subsequently be aired on Steve Lamaq’s radio show on Radio 1 on June 11.
Also, the Pyramid Song single is set for # 2 in the UK charts. According to midweek sales figures it looks likely to become the bands biggest selling single ever. Selling 16,761 copies so far, it’s way behind DJ Pied Piper’s ‘Do You Really Like It’ and way ahead of Geri Halliwell’s ‘It’s Raining Men’. [thanks andy & dom]
