Ed O’Brien and Colin Greenwood turned out in London last night to celebrate the launch of Supergrass’ new album ‘Life on other planets’. The party at the CC Club in the West End saw a number of UK stars – including Ed Harcourt and Tricky’s one-time muse Martina Topley-Bird – take to the stage to cover Supergrass hits in a loungecore style, backed by a lounge band. Coxon, looking relaxed and not missing Blur one little bit, closed the covers section, blowing out the lounge band and instead blasting through Supergrass’s ‘Richard III’ [from: supergrass.tv]
