At last night’s R.E.M. show at the Waldbühne in Berlin, Michael Stipe dedicated “Electrolite” to “one of the biggest R.E.M. fans, Thom Yorke and his brilliant band”. He told the audience that Radiohead were opening for R.E.M. played at the Waldbühne in 1995 with Radiohead, and before that gig he had a long conversation with Thom. since that day they are friends. He said that “electrolite” is Thom’s favourite r.e.m. song. [thanks soffie]
