JAZZ BAND RELEASES ´PYRAMID SONG`COVER

Posted on November 11th, 2003.

Norwegian jazz band Atomic released their sophomore album in September on the Jazzland recordings label, it’s entitled ‘Boom boom’ and the album closer is a cover of ‘pyramid song’. According to bassist Håker Flaten: “All of us think of Radiohead as one of the most important bands on the contemporary music-scene today. When I heard ‘Pyramid Song’ I immediately thought it would be great to make a cover of it! It is something with the rhythmic complexity and the sweet melody-line on top which makes the song very interesting. It represents a kind of (complex) simplicity which I really like!!”.
