THOM PERFORMS ‘FOLLOW ME AROUND’ ON BBC RADIO 1

Posted on November 21st, 2003.

Thom and Ed were on BBC Radio 1’s ‘Mark & Lard’ for an interview. Thom performed ‘Follow me around’ on acoustic guitar. Thom: “It’s been kicking around since the heady days of OK Computer. I don’t know exactly what to do with it” The band have answered questions from fans and Mark & Lard. They talked about the venue in Arnhem, their current favourite records (Ed: Kings of Leon, Thom: British Sea Power), Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya?’ (Thom: “It’s great, it should be number one across the world”), Their performances at the Jonathan Ross show & Letterman. Street Spirit being covered by the Darkness (Ed likes it) and Oakenfold (Ed: “Oh dear”). Eurovision (They won’t do it, because they think they probably won’t make it through the national qualifying rounds). Mark & Lard did a sketch called ‘Thom Yorke’s schoolday’s.

For those who missed ‘Follow Me Around’, I’ve uploaded the song (mp3) to the yahoogroups folder for all the members of the ‘atease announce list‘.

A real audio version is also available at the BBC website, along with audio clips from the rest of the show. And…As a special treat to all Radiohead fans out there, M&L will be giving away CDs signed by Thom and Ed. Pop back to the site next week to find out how you can get your hands on one.
