B-sides album to be released?
Jonny Greenwood talked to BANG magazine about the Bodysong soundtrack, as well as Radiohead: Bodysong may have an impact on new Radiohead material, Greenwood suggests, after the soundtrack project saw him work with string quartets and jazz bands. “It’s given me confidence to chance my arm in the studio and not feel paranoid about wasting time.”
He expects the band to begin work on new tracks when they finish touring next summer, although new songs are already being written. Before then, Radiohead plan to release a collection of Hail To The Thief remixes, including efforts by Cristian Vogel, Kid Koala, Madlib, Four Tet and Thom Yorke’s own new version of ‘We Suck Young Blood’.
“They sound great,” Greenwood confirms. “I would hope it be released at the beginning of next year, but we really don’t know whether to make it a whole record or a series of smaller releases, so we’ve been talking about that in idle moments recently. But then we’ve also been talking about doing a B-sides record as well. We talk and talk!” [thanks caught by the karma police]
