Thom’s voice cracks in Melbourne

Posted on April 26th, 2004.

Radiohead played their first of the two gigs at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne tonight. The band played only one encore, closing with the usual ‘Everything it its right place’ with a line of ‘Fog’ sampled. During the show Thom said: “Sorry about the throat, we almost nearly cancelled tonight. Please forgive or kiss my throat frog”. For a full setlist, check the gigography.

Radiohead’s second show in Melbourne, scheduled for tomorrow, is rumoured be postponed a day to let Thom’s voice heal. In this case, the last Melbourne show would be on Wednesday April 28th.
