Michael Stipe on Radiohead

Posted on October 2nd, 2004.

REM’s Michael Stipe was on the OrangePlaylist show on ITV last night, where he picked his favourite video. It was a tough choice, but Radiohead, renowned for their spectacular and epic music videos win the top spot. ‘Pyramid Song’ is Michael Stipe’s all time favourite. “It’s a very sad song that leaves you optimism and hope. A beautiful thing.” He also said the most overwhelming moment in his life was the when the Radiohead crowd were singing along to the line ‘bring down the government’ in ‘No Surprises’ at the Hollywood Bowl last year.
