Jonny Greenwood has also contributed to the forthcoming Christmas hit ‘Do they know it’s Christmas?‘. Besides Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich and Thom Yorke, who has recorded his part on Saturday, Jonny played guitar on the track. Thom has also done the piano on Band Aid 20′s backing track.
Sir Paul McCartney played bass guitar. Travis’ Fran Healy was on acoustic guitar, while Supergrass‘ Danny Goffey played the drums. The Band Aid single will be played for the first time on Radio One tomorrow and will be in the shops on Monday, November 29.
Madonna will introduce the launch of the new version of the 1984 charity hit when it is played on all five main TV channels at 6.05pm on Thursday. [thanks Stuart]
