Happy Birthday Mr. Selway & more Barbican details

Happy Birthday wishes go out to Phil Selway today. The Radiohead drummer celebrates his 38th birthday. Speaking of Phil… As reported earlier, Phil is one of the guest musicians when the Merce Cunningham Dance Company comes to the Barbican Theatre in June.

Merce Cunningham, the revered American choreographer has scheduled six unique evenings of different choreography, décor and music, specially created for the Barbican stage from 14 – 19 June. The visual artists are: Darren Almond; David Batchelor; Marc Camille Chaimowicz; Enrico David; Richard Hamilton and Roger Hiorns. The musicians are: John Paul Jones; John King; Takehisa Kosugi; Kaffe Mathews; Steve Montague; Scanner (aka Robin Rimbaud) and Philip Selway. Each performance is a different Event making it possible to see six totally new shows.

Phil will only perform on June 14th and June 16th. More information at Barbican’s Bite.
