Radiohead on Ricky Gervais’s iPod

Posted on October 11th, 2005.

In todays Metro in London, Ricky Gervais talks about six tracks from his iPod in the section called ‘On My iPod - Six Track Mix’: One of the tracks is Radiohead’s ‘Bones’:

“I didn’t like Radiohead much when I first heard them. But then again, I didn’t like The Simpsons much at first. What a fool. Then I heard The Bends, which is one of the greatest albums of all time. It does what great music is meant to do- it makes a connection. Bones is one of my favourites. When it soars on the lyric ‘I used to fly like Peter Pan’ I well up.”

The other tracks were: After the Gold Rush by Neil Young, If you see her, say hello by Bod Dylan, Thunder Road by Bruce Springsteen, Letter to Hermione by David Bowie, Hurt by Johnny Cash [thanks Mandy]
