Glastonbury film featuring Radiohead to be released
Julien Temple’s highly anticipated movie about the Glastonbury festival is to be released in April, NME reports. The eagerly-awaited documentary, featuring Radiohead, opens in cinemas on April 14. Filming took place at the 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005 bashes.
The director also spent three years collecting footage from every single year of the festival, ranging from professional outtakes from the film Nicolas Roeg made about the 1971 event, to amateur home videos collected from the attendees themselves. Over 700 hours of footage was submitted.
Glastonbury is screening at the Sundance film festival in the World Documentary section. Next month it will play at the Berlin Film Festival.
