Lowlands festival organiser Eric van Eerderburg was interviewed in today’s Dutch newspaper Parool. Eric, reviewing the past festival weekend, was asked about the differences between this years Pukkelpop (Belgium) and Lowlands (Netherlands) bills and apparently Radiohead were the missing link.
“(…) Radiohead were booked to play two gigs at V in England this year, and were looking to play a warm-up gig in the Europe mainland. We were in talks to book them on Friday, but the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium started on Thursday, giving the band the advantage of returning back to England a day earlier. So they chose to play Pukkelpop instead. Next year Radiohead will release a new album, and this time we WILL book them. (…)” [thanks Radiomad]
