Radio station KCRW and Starbucks will co-release Sounds Eclectic: The Covers Project. The cd features two Radiohead covers; The Flaming Lips doing ‘Knives Out’ and Damien Rice performing ‘Creep’.
The cd will be available on March 13th at select Starbucks locations (Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, San Diego, Austin, Boston, and Washington, D.C.) and online. Proceeds from album sales will assist the station in digitizing its huge (60,000+ albums) music library. [source: Pitchfork]
