An Easter weekend of Radiohead covers

Besides Eliza Lumley’s Radiohead cover album this week, some more Radiohead covers were sent in this week.Guitarist Jon Gomm has recorded a cover of ‘High and Dry‘ for his debut album “Hypertension”. A clip of the song is available from his website. Watch a video here.Jan De Campenaere from Belgium played Radiohead’s ‘Fake Plastic Trees’ with his band Venus In Flames on a regular basis already, but for one project he played a 45 minute set of Radiohead songs. One of them was ‘Idioteque‘, acapalla. Listen to his version on the band’s MySpace.The Chuck Kerr Quintet, a local jazz ensemble in San Antonio, Texas, has posted an mp3 of a live jazz version of “Knives Out” on MySpace. It was performed live at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio as part of Chuck’s senior recital.Paradigm did a Radiohead tribute for Halloween this year. The show is on the Live Music Archive. There’s also a video available of 2+2=5, which you can check here.And since we’re doing covers today, check out Dublin based Radiohead cover band Karma Police. ‘High And Dry’ and ‘The Bends’ are available on their MySpace….and back to the real Radiohead.
