Editors on Radiohead

Posted on June 24th, 2007.

In an interview published in the Sunday Times today, Editors talk about Radiohead. All members of Editors were classically trained and united by their hatred of funk-rock bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers. All were captured by Radiohead’s OK Computer.

“Seeing Radiohead at Glastonbury in 1997 was mind-blowing,” says Tom Smith. “It changed the way I looked at music. Britpop was exciting, but I saw something in Radiohead that made me think a little more, touched me deeper.” Bassist Russell Leetch: “We’d like to headline Glastonbury. It might not happen – but the Chili Peppers can’t headline every festival for all eternity.”

Speaking of Glastonbury, Thom Yorke has been spotted attending the UK festival. And a headliner for next year’s edition has already been booked. Just sayin’.

i dk who these Editors are, but rhcp will forever kick ass. They usually headline festivals for reasons.

And rhcp and radiohead have a mutual liking of each other. I forgot what show it was, but thom yorke danced the hell out of dani california lol…
and john frusciante has covered You and Whose Army, and Lucky. And he puts on radiohead music thru the PA system before and after concerts.

Radiohead + Rhcp are two best damn bands in the world.

PS: being unfunky means being uncool.

like so many bands influenced by radiohead, they miss the point and make tedious dirge. and editors try to sound like joy division, but unfortunately interpol do it much better.

Yeah, when I heard ‘Smokers Outside the Hospital Door’ I thought it WAS Interpol.

Опять-таки достаточно побочная проблема. Вряд ли она кому-нибудь мешает, мне вот лично как то все равно :)
