Radiohead manager to release album
Radiohead’s manager Chris Hufford is set to release an album of his own. The album will feature guest vocalists from eight countries, inspired partly by the diversity of the two classic This Mortal Coil albums.
Chris Hufford is one of the managers at Courtyard Management, responsible for artists like Radiohead, Supergrass and Gemma Hayes, will release an album together with composer Ned Bigham under the name Anti Atlas. On August 20, Anti Atlas will release ‘Between Voices’, the second of two complementary album releases on the independent label One Little Indian. The first, ‘Between Two’, was released in March.
Unique unions of electronica, subtle beats and epic orchestral soundscapes is what they call it themselves. Vocalists include Gemma Hayes, Kalli Hakonarson and Kristin Fjellseth. Mick Quinn from Supergrass played bass on one of the tracks. Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood took some photographs for Anti Atlas. The first single from the new album, ‘It’s A Shame’, featuring vocals by Gemma Hayes, will be released on August 13.
Check Anti Atlas’ MySpace and official website for previews of the album.

Good gravy… I was 100% certain that this was going to be about Radiohead’s manager announcing that he’d be handling operations for the distribution of LP7.
That’s just not nice!

I’ve heard this album (don’t ask) and have found it to be a pretty cool little listen. Gemma’s track is great as is the third track. I think the sing is called Richard Walters. He’s from Oxford too. Check it out even if only for these two tracks.

So even one of Radiohead’s MANAGERS has
managed to make an album and have it
released before LP7.
A subtle way of telling his artist ‘if i
can do it, so can you’ perhaps?
