A Fender Stratocaster guitar is up for auction at eBay. All acts from the 2006 V Festival, including Radiohead were asked to sign the Stratocaster to raise money for the British landmine clearance charity MAG.
The description at the auction reads that Radiohead’s Thom Yorke involvement with this initiative is highly unusual (he usually chooses not to sign items like this and you will see that he has signed the guitar in the middle of the fingerboard) and makes the item even more invaluable!
All proceeds from the sale of this guitar will be used to support the work of MAG, one of the world’s leading landmine clearance charities and co-laureate of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize. Every 20 minutes, someone, somewhere in the world is killed or maimed by a landmine. Go here to see the auction and bid.
