Matrix students record with Radiohead

Posted on August 16th, 2007.

This might be the reason for the delay of LP7… In March Colin Greenwood and producer Nigel Godrich invited thirty Junior Extension children from Matrix Music School & Arts Centre to help realise an idea for one of the tracks on Radiohead’s forthcoming album. From the Matrix website: “The whole experience was great fun - for parents as well! - and we’re all looking forward to the release date.”

A new generation of fans!

This is really cool. Make me even more excited for LP7. I have a feeling that this is for the clapping in 15 Step. I mean, it looks like they’re explaining the way the clapping works - and that’s a relatively complicated clap rhythm. But if it’s something else then I’m really excited cos I have no idea what else it could be.

I’m 16 so you can call me one of the NEW generations of fans from RH. And I love radiohead for it’s diversity and being able to change and evolve their music without failing! I really love RH and that love will never die. I like the fact that Colin and Nigel seek music in young people, they are the future!

Yeah… I also think this is for 15 Steps!!!
But if this happened in March, what has the “new” delay to do with it?????????
Good God, I can’t wait for this album any longer. It is even worse than waiting for Lost’s fourth season, which at least I know is out February next year…

funny how this news came JUST one day after a very BAD news (album in 2008). very good strategy to maintain a loyal fan base.
and where is our rock star on these pictures ?

But 15 step was already realized a year prior…and probably wasn’t colin’s idea :P

Man, this is the longest I’ve ever seriously waited for an album. Radiohead may be the best band in the world, but I’m not sure that even another Kid A could live up to the hype LP7 has accumulated.
