Radiohead’s ‘Videotape’ already remixed

A remix of one of the tracks of Radiohead’s new album ‘In Rainbows’ has already surfaced online.

‘Videotape’ , the closing track of the new album has been remixed by Mojib. The track first surfaced at IGIF, where we read that the remix includes samples of a DJ Shadow track. Listen to the Videotape remix over at FineFineMusic.com.

    This is NOT a remix
    It’s a poorly executed mashup

    Someone has slapped Videotape, an Efterklang track, a DJ Shadow track and a couple of others that I can’t quite place together and just jumbled them in a haphazard mess.

    This is *not* a remix. Please stop reporting it as such.

    Whoa, I’ve never seen anyone else even mention Efterklang before. That band is amazing. I found out about them by accident and now they’re one of my favorites.

    How good is Efterklang! I stumbled onto them by accident as well, Under Giant Trees is brilliant. Looking forward to getting my hands on the new disc as well.

    There are so many versions of this song. The best ones are from Radiohead. A rough sketch from concerts, just piano form Youtube, and the final score from the album… Love Them All!!! Your pick, Beauty or Beauty or Beauty.

    I agree with ‘Joe.’ Really, yeah, this is just a s-i-m-p-l-e mashup – nothing but using a program to place one person’s music to start here and another’s to stop there…so, yeah…99% of djs aren’t musicians, so they should stop acting like it…

    The remix is crap. I think the only other version of videotape that prevails over the “In Rainbows” version are any of the live recordings from Radioheads most recent world tour in 2006.

    I can’t hear the song very well. What does a remix mean, washing the original song out? The guy should try to sing it and then just call it a cover.

    Atrocious, every single time two notes in this piece even slighly overlap there is a huge amount of discord. The drums are out of time. And DJ Shadow stuff just serves to make it worse.
