The official ‘In Rainbows’ cover

There’s been a lot of speculation about what would be the official cover for Radiohead’s new album ‘In Rainbows’. A cover that went with the download on October 1st was ditched last minute.

In the meantime, people have been making their own. Although, it was floating around already… we can now officially present you the final cover for ‘In Rainbows’ by Stanley Donwood… so you finally have something you can stick into your iTunes:

    some of the hodiau direkton stuff was so much better. so were every other album’s cover

    well sorry but that’s actualy not the final cover. You’ll see it’s just the cover for the 2nd vinyl, as you know they will also release the album as a 2 vynils edition, and altough the first vinyl’s got the actual cover they had to come up with another one to put something on the face of the second one. Oh and I’m totally shure bout that btw.

    Damn that is UGLY. I have a feeling though, that this isn’t the final artwork. I hope not anyway. But if it is, how disappointing!

    The image is fine but the letters are too big of a statement, it goes against the music. I remember seeing the image on the scrapbook, but I’m not sure…

    different and freah. I love how the
    colours really vibrate. didn’t
    stanley say something about toxicity in
    the colours. it’s interesting
    that some people are put off by it. anyway thumbs up from me.

    It’s original, which is something I haven’t been able to say about Donwood’s Radiohead work for awhile. I like the typographical experimentation too.

    it’s not a ‘painting’ it’s a creation. it’s very ‘pink floyd’..sort of stuff they did in there very early live shows.
    i like it. possibly wouldn’t have the repeating text though if it were up to me. doesn’t ruin it for me though.

    In the spirit of the album release, I thought Radiohead would have held a competition where fans could submit their own ideas and pick one for the cover. Other people’s ideas were much cooler than this…looks really unprofessional. I could have made this in paint – very ugly. Does anyone know why they keep spelling things witho_ut s_pace/s and weird c/ haracters? It looks like something my 16 year old friend’s sister used to do in her AOL profile picture to look cool.
