‘Last Flowers’ released as ‘Jigsaw…’ b-side
Radiohead will release another track from the ‘old songs vault’. A live recorded version of ‘Last Flowers’ will be included as a b-side for the ‘Jigsaw Falling Into Place‘ single.
As previously reported, Radiohead will release their first single from ‘In Rainbows‘ on January 14, 2008. ‘Jigsaw Falling Into Place’ will be out on CD, 7″ vinyl and as a download. All versions will have tracks recorded live by Thom Yorke for the ‘From The Basement’ series. The tracks ‘Down Is The New Up‘, ‘Last Flowers‘ (CD) and ‘Videotape‘ (7″ vinyl) are to be included. Studio versions of ‘Down Is The New Up’ and ‘Last Flowers’ are included on the forthcoming bonus disc of the soon to be released ‘In Rainbows’ Discbox.
Nigel Godrich’s ‘From The Basement’ shows were previously available online and will now be broadcast by Sky Arts, starting Saturday December 1st. The show with Thom Yorke can be seen December 8th.

Wait! Videotape will only be on the 7″ vinyl and for download, not on the CD version? That’s annoying and idiotic!

I work at a major US chain retailer, and we were told they’ll be two versions of IR released in store in January–single and double disc. We even got list prices for both??

What’s the point in putting one track only on the 7” and one only on CD when people will simply download all of them? I mean, do they really expect fans to buy all the versions of this single just to get these tracks? Are they really not aware of the fact that they can’ make me pay for their music? I am going to pay for In Rainbows of course, but these singles? No way.

The Belief-Action Nexus will acquire this material in one form or the other; by payment or by electronics or both, moreover, will be happy doing so. If anyone enjoys my music, I will gladly offer you the opportunity to download or send u a personally packaged cd, free of charge. Have a wonderful day radioheadz.

yes, i hate when they spread stuff out on different releases when it could easily fit on the CD. sure only so much space on vinyl, so that’s fine, but at least have it on the CD as well.

Gawd this is getting so confusing! I wish there were more information about this… XL don’t have anything on their website… who are we supposed to ask? Amazon only offers the regular edition… I suppose that means there’s only gonna be one edition of In Rainbows… At least one that’ll be released on 31st December…

I believe both “Videotape” and “Down is the New Up” are the versions that were recorded for Nigel’s In the Basement thing with itunes. Both versions are brilliant.

am i the only one disappointed that the bside will be a track from CD2 and not one of the million unreleased tracks they have?
i paid for the discbox and now they are going to be slowly all released as b-sides.

yeah but the way i understand it is that they are ‘live’ versions on the bsides and we get the actual ’studio’ versions on cd2. i’m well pleased! so glad i’ve got a Rega P3! ![]()

Omills is correct!! They have several songs that were played but not released. I would rather have Radiohead playing some of the songs they enjoy listening to from their favorite bands. I would take a garage version of those apposed to something I have heard or have recorded from 20 versions on YouTube. But what can you say… Radiohead is STILL together and making music. Radiohead, you’re my hero. Thank you for saving me when I was drowning in the swimming pool.

Awesome! I wish I hadn’t shelled out 3 pounds or whatever each last month for “Down Is the New Up” and “Videotape” from 7digital.co.uk. I couldn’t even get them to play or convert them on my mac. Anyway, it’ll be great to finally have wave versions of these songs!
