No BAFTA for Jonny Greenwood
Jonny Greenwood missed out on a BAFTA today, when the winners were announced of the British Academy Film Awards.
The score for ‘There Will Be Blood’ lost to Christopher Gunning’s work for ‘La Vie En Rose’. Paul Thomas Anderson’s film was nominated in many categories (Music, Sound, Cinematography, Production Design, Supporting Actor, Adapted Screenplay, Film and Director), but only won a BAFTA for Best Actor (Daniel Day Lewis) when all the winners were announced earlier this evening. Jonny Greenwood wasn’t attending the ceremony at London’s Royal Opera House anyway, because he and his wife are expecting their third child, which was due today.

I just saw There Will Be Blood yesterday and I gotta say that Jonny did a great job. The soundtrack went with the movie really well. All of these awards are meaningless anyway.
