‘Nude’ to be second ‘In Rainbows’ single
Radiohead will release ‘Nude’ as their second single from their latest album ‘In Rainbows’. The song which is a fan favourite for over 10 years, finally got recorded for their seventh album.
Nude will be out in April through XL Recordings and will be out as digital download, CD single and 7″ vinyl and features some extra tracks. The video shot for their most recent webcast ‘Scotch_Mist’ will be used to promote the single.

This video is a riot. Yet also beatuiful at the same time. Love this song. I dunno about as a single though. Hopefully there wil be extras on the single release!

Hmmm…what happened to their usual wealth of “b-sides” to fill up the singles? Usually they’ve got all kinds of extra stuff kicking around from sessions. This time it’s so far just pre-recorded live tracks.
Hope they’re not running out of steam…

the cache of b-sides you’re thinking of are the extra songs in the discbox. and i guess those from the basement performances on the jigsaw single also count as b-sides.

I’ll bet you a million bucks the versions from the bonus disc will still not be used. I’d expect remixes/tracks from the concert webcast (especially acoustic “Up On The Ladder”)/solo performances from Yorke’s radio appearance on Ross. There are no studio tracks left, besides the ‘In Rainbows’ bonus disc. The band considers them too good for just b-sides…

Yeah, I guess the ‘Bonus disc’ sort or stands for that.
But given that mythological photo of yore–the one with all the potential song titles–I think I was hoping for a few more new studio ditties to come creeping up here and there on the singles.

I love this! Nude is either my 1st/2nd/3rd favorite RH song ever, and I was pumped when I first heard the recorded version! I’m really happy this is going to be a single, expose it to all!

I’m too old to fall for the fact that nothing is new on single CDs anymore. I would hope and like to see some Bonus tracks of Pearly or of A Reminder. Those tracks were gold after I had listened to there albums a hundred times in a row. Radiohead please throw some new tracks on that single. Play something rough or refined. I don’t care; play little bow peep or the alphabet song. Your voice and exciting ways you play instruments is glory to my ears. Bring back the way old singles were made. I paid twenty dollars for the old singles; I’ll do it again. If you record it I will pay.

Ehh.. I love the song but it’s no single.. Reckoner or 15 Step would’ve been my pick
