Whats with all this hate. Oasis although
not deserving of the top spot(neither is Radiohead) are definetley a great band. These annoying art rocker critics need to relax. Oasis does something completley different than radiohead do.They write catchy, unforgettable pop hooks(look at
their continued popularity 14 years after their first album. Radiohead which is another
great band is more a ground breaking
innovative band. Both are great they just do different things.

I like Q magazine they have Radiohead on practically every page. :)

Id actually say Dark side is a total overrated album, if anyone tried it today people would say it was self indulgent (like HTTT)

And why does Parklife always get on these lists? blur have lots of better albums, and they deserve more than one on the list all together.

And then Oasis, well for a starter Blur are better than Oasis, more consistant than Oasis. ignoring all the other bands that are better than both of them. Radiohead, Coldplay and Muse for example.

You can't deny however of all the noise aimless bands out there, Oasis makes you feel the best.

I'm not sure I want to live in a world
that would rank Oasis ahead of The Beatles
or Radiohead. My God.

It could well be the way the article is phrased. Maybe when you ask someone what their favourite british album is, it gets them thinking a certain way. Oasis, Blur, stone roses etc are all very british so its an obvious train of thought to follow.

If they'd just said what's the greatest album of all time? I bet many of those same people would have said ok comp.

Oasis are quite alright, but they're definitely the most overrated band of the 90s, IMO. However they really seem to be a British institution, so let the Brits enjoy their daily dose of Gallagher!
