  • Is there a reason of why is BBC promoting Radiohead so much now? Don’t recall this happening with other albums. Is the non-political profile of IR which finally got bbc to embrace them? What’s next? Are they gonna be knighted?

  • Well, the BBC has always had quite a good relationship with Radiohead. Lots of appearances on Steve Lamacq, various DJ slots in the past and present, not to mention the fact that Jonny was composer-in-residence at the BBC for a year. So it’s not really all that surprising.

  • Oh, and it probably helps that Radiohead is the 3rd most popular band amongst BBC employees, if you believe the stats of their Facebook network
