Thom Yorke has just finished a remix for John Mathias & Nick Ryans, who will be releasing an album on the Nonclassical label.

Nonclassical release “classical music in an unexpected and refreshing way”. The John Mathias & Nick Ryans album is entitled ‘Cortical Songs’, which features remixes by Thom Yorke, Simon Tong
(TGTBATQ, Gorillaz), John Maclean (The Beta Band, The Aliens), Simon Jones and Nick MacCabe (The Verve) & Gabriel Prokofiev.

The album was originally slated for an April release, but pushed back to May because of a delay in receiving the remixes. Jonny Greenwood was scheduled to send a remix in as well, but declined later on due to lack of time.

If the name John Mathias sounds familiar. You can find him in the liner notes of Radiohead’s 1995 album ‘The Bends’ on which he played viola & violin. [thx Yasuko]
