Bit odd how they continuously decide not to play “Jigsaw”, as it’s their single…but then again, they’re not the ones you usually pick the singles…every song on IR is excellent anyway.
I love “Myxomatosis” live…and the other two tracks are surprises. Can’t wait to watch this.

This is the live performance of Reckoner I’ve been waiting for. It actually has good vocals…

And let me guess you’ll only be able to watch if you’re in the US?

I couldn’t see the video (”video not accessible”) and the lyrics are wrong, but other than that…

I can’t seem to watch any of the videos on this site… Is it because I’m not a US resident?
Any chance of someone making a mirror?

I know what you mean, Khristopher. I’m so tired of this crap! Every stupid corporation says they don’t have the rights to broadcast in other countries, but it’s not like Canada gives a damn if we can watch VH1 because Much Music sucks so badly, they probably haven’t aired a Radiohead video in literally years. Here’s hoping The Wedge airs it!

Any chance of someone ripping this off VH1’s site and uploading it on YouTube or some other decent place? The fact that only US residents can see this video kind of defeats the whole purpose of the Internet…

Are we whining? If we are, well I might as well join in.
No one in the States got to see any of the BBC performances last month or hear the various shows without all the sycophantic talking heads screwing it up. Bits here, bits there, but nothing complete. It felt a bit schizophrenic to me. No British citizen here was aloud to download ‘Videotape’ either. It is just a damn song for gods-sake, not the key to the crown-friggin’-jewels.
I agree that ‘Every stupid corporation says they don’t have the rights to broadcast in other countries’ – but it is really all about money and nothing else. I have found this is the case mostly with the Beeb-Boobies. One cannot even watch the damn news from home here, and the BBC provides no other alternative.
Besides, most of this show will probably wind up on YouTube.
Am I going to watch? I think not! If it were on MTV, I might - but VH1!? Whaaa!?
Personally, I think the whole ‘In Rainbows’ promotion is suffering deeply from oversaturation.
And by the by, Warner Bros is known to be a distributor for a lot of indie artists. Indeed, Loreena McKennitt had a distribution deal only with Warner Bros for years before she moved herself and her entire catalogue to Verve.
Enjoy the sermons all.

Veg…i have to agree…VH1??? what’s that all about. That channel has gone to hell in a hand basket. Its obviously to promote the tour in the US but seems to me that their fans don’t need much promoting. I’d rather watch it here on At Ease and not VH1 ![]()

kid54 : yeah.. they should do something like.. a webcast.. or maybe even two. just for their fans. instead of prostituting themselves like this!

If you’re like me on the last tour, At Ease does a great job posting the setlists as they progress at each show when they can…they are getting so good at webcasts, here’s hoping they can relay a webcast from some shows live for fans who couldn’t get tickets (or chose to not to drive for miles to some of these “so-called” eco-friendly venues).

After searching the TV listings trying to find this…
It will not be on Saturday, May 3 at 12:00 AM as stated above!
It will be on Sunday, May 4 at 12:00 AM EDT (Saturday, May 3 at 11:00 PM CDT).
I’m not sure whether VH1 moves their Pacific Coast programming to match East Coast time or let it run “in synch” with the rest of the country which would put it at 9:00 PM CDT on Saturday.

For those of us fortunate enough to have MTV’s HD network (MHD), it appears that this same show will air at midnight on Saturday, but obviously in high def.

Hey kid54!
Well you know, what I have noticed is that VH-1 has become a place for bands, singers, and so on who have seen better days – too much laughter. Radiohead is anything but a washed-up band! That is why I was surprised to hear VH-1 was courting them, rather than MTV. However, as you said, all real Radiohead fans do not really need the promos. It is great to see, of course.
How was the show? I did not get to see it due to medical treatments for cancer.
Which reminds me, sorry for the spelling error in my post, but I am 35 with terminal cancer. Treatments often cause slight distractions whilst trying to keep up with everything outside that bubble – and I have ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) as well.
Oh well, it is good to know I am not perfect after all.
Take care kid54.

Sending good thoughts your way…

wow seeing them play optimistic live is a rare treat, and it is absolutely stunning here. I don’t really know why they don’t play this, kid a, myxomatosis, electioneering, let down, sulk, etc… live; its almost like these songs are too good and they’re afraid to ruin them in a live setting. But they play the shit out of the three older tracks on the VH1 thing, simply amazing!
