A month ago (April 1st), Radiohead launched their remix contest for latest single ‘Nude’. Uploading has now closed at radioheadremix.com.
Fans were able to download the ’5 stems’ of the songs through iTunes, remix the track, upload it to radioheadremix.com and allowing the public to vote for the remixes. The downloads of the stems resulted in good charting of the single, which turned out as another great internet stunt for Radiohead.
In one month 2,239 remixes have been submitted for Nude, including artists Thomas Dolby and Holy Fuck. Voting is still possible, while the Spor Remix is number one with more than 13,000 votes.
Radiohead.com just provided some more stats: Radioheadremix.com had 2,522,031 Unique visitors: 2,522,031 viewing 12,520,782 pages (29,246,202 hits) transferring 4.343 Terabytes of bandwidth. A couple more mixes made the cut (2,254), which received (approx) 710,667 listens and 274,181 votes.
