I haven’t seen them since the original HTTT tour… have they really started pushing out Fake Plastic Trees and Paranoid Android from the setlist? There’s only 1 OKC song on there!

Lack of PA (and OKC in general) is a bit odd. Like seriously, there’s more Bends tracks than OKC in that setlist.

Not that there’s anything wrong with what was played. Don’t see anything that wouldn’t be a shame to remove IMO.

Ehh, Morning Bell could’ve been dropped for PA or Talk Show Host, but overall, it’s a fantastic set list. A little IR heavy, but that’s alright.

It was a GREAT night in WPB - I have NEVER seen so many people at that venue in all my years of attending shows. The Lawn was PACKED!!!

And yes — so far, sadly, OKC seems to have been all but jettisoned. But it’s early days yet.

I like how they’ve switched things around here. It’s not good for the shows to be always so OKC intensive (unless they play The fucking Tourist of course!)

Bulletproof! I’d love to hear a recording of that.

I WAS THERE!!!! 3rd row!
all i can say is: awesome. it was the second time i saw them play, actually in the same venue. the set list was absolutely perfect, i dont believe i have favorites among the bands many songs, but last night each song they played was my favorite, totally!
the best thing was seeing Thom a few feet away from me, loosing control and dancing like the crazy dude he is…, i hope to repeat this experience very soon

I really can’t believe they didn’t play jigsay. Not only the best song on IR, but a single for crying out loud! I hope to see jigsaw, my iron lung & lucky in stl. I read somewhere that they never play the same set twice.

After they sang Bangers and Mash, you noted this comment in your article:

thom; “We spent three days at Miami Beach. Fucking hell. What’s going on there? Some kind of reconstruction! For once I was proud to white, pale and English.”

What does that mean? Who said that? Was it Thom? I am scared that if Thom said this that it means that he isn’t who I thought he was. Can you describe the context in which this quote was stated?

dia

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a setlist!!!!!!!!!!

Joe
May 7th, 2008

No Paranoid Android? WTF?!

Usually people go to concerts wanting to hear all the “hits” and get annoyed when the set-list is heavy on songs from the new album. Well, they can play every song on In Rainbows twice if they fancy!!

Arie
May 7th, 2008

GREAT setlist despite no lucky/tourist

Gary Matherson
May 7th, 2008

That concert was awesome!! I was there! The stage and the lights were spectacular! I just wished that they play Lucky or Paranoid Android, or at least more of the O.K. Computer but besides that! amazing show!

Mönett
May 7th, 2008

dia: “White pale and english” is quoted in the NY Times review and is presumed to be a reference to tanned, surgically modified people. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a misquote, since “some kind of reconstruction” sounds kind of odd. But Thom’s never shown any sign of racism, so I wouldn’t worry about that.

Andrew

The New York show is going to suck because they’re playing 3 days and it has to be fewer songs because is a festival i only bought it for one day
radiohead sucks

After the second encore, I left the building, but heard what sounded like Thom playing High and Dry and Fake Plastic Trees acoustic. Am I right? Did anyone see it?

Tim
May 8th, 2008

if thom was referring to plastic surgery
when he made the ‘reconstruction’
reference then i think that’s AMAZING!!!
i was there, and he definitely said
‘reconstruction.’ and now it makes more
sense. thanks for the clarification
