I can’t wait to hear my favorite songs from In Rainbows, but I’m really hoping they settle into a more balanced setlist by the time they get to the Hollywood Bowl in August when I’ve got my tix. From the looks of it that will indeed be the case.

  • jigsaw

11 songs for a soundcheck, thats pretty cool!

  • MB

Dammit Atlanta. I hope the Bristow setlist is as good as this one sounds.

  • hpgirl

    bring PA to charlotte please!!!

  • Adam

I was at that show in Montreal. That was a very good one…The only time I’ve heard Sardines Live!

  • ariel

not many people have mentioned it
(or i haven’t read it at leas) but thom
played the first few notes of talk
show host in west palm beach on monday
before the 3rd or 4th song of the night.

  • Lodi

    Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!

    What an amazing soundcheck :’(

  • spike

Phew glad to see PA and Karma Police back. Talk Show Host is really overrated. it’s not bad by any means, but certainly wouldn’t make my top 30 radiohead songs.

Now if they played True Love Waits or Gagging Order, that would be exciting.

  • sup

so when does this show actually start?

  • Simon

Whats up? Where are the updates? Show should have started 30 minutes ago

  • Kid54

Could be rain delayed…heard heavy storms going through Atlanta today….

  • Max

thank god their in rainbows material is becoming less of the setlist.

there is no need to have an entire album or close to in a setlist unless you havent got much else. i understand its fresh to them, but got, its all ive heard lately. how i would love to hear in limbo played. it doesn’t seem to happen often.

  • RYaN

    rain delay until 10:15pm

  • tchocky

anyone else going to see them at “lollapalooza”?

  • amy

i wonder if they’ll do this mass transit pass thing at all the shows…

  • Zach

    this was a lame setlist.
    I LOVE THESE SONGS but…
it looks the same as the last 2 concerts and they also did a soundcheck for pa and karma which they didnt play. and they did one encore! thats so unradiohead like

  • Zach

scratch that last post, didnt even realize the concert was still going on

  • sup

It almost seems like Radiohead was TRYING to prove zack wrong here.

  • Sergio

burn!! you suck the moon, you spoke too soon…..

  • thomas L

    In Limbo
    We Suck Young Blood
    The Tourist
    Airbag
    in Houston please.

TNA, Karma, PA have been played to death over the last 8 years.

something from the Airbag EP would be awesome.

  • a

    wow great setlist

  • Dave

The drummer does that train track thing live on Videotape. I’m impressed. Thom seems to behaving a great time. He dances like I do.

  • mark

    Talk Show Host!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am so remiss i missed this show… (picture me crying while listening to “rabbit in the headlights” ) and whilst all argue about setlists… idjits. what about

POLYETHLEYENE(?) (sp). thank you thom, colin, ed, jonny, and that other guy, tee-hheeee as it rains. get with what matters most people.

  • Joe

wow, the setlists for this tour are unbelievable. i’m so glad they’re playing optimistic again, haven’t seen that since 01!

  • MJ

    best setlist so far

  • Chris

talk show host rocked. They were uninspired playing PA though…

  • Piacoa

Can anyone explain this Mass Transit Pass thing to me please? Does it mean they go “Who came here on public transport?” and then they jump the queue?

  • I am your father

they did not sound check karma police.

  • Brandon

What a show. We were center stage 15 rows back. Just freaking awesome!

  • Brandon

Lakewood amphitheatre allows early entry (1 hour) if you show a Marta pass. I don’t think this was Radiohead’s doing, but the venue. It’s done to promote public transpartation because traffic is a bitch in that area. It took us an hour and a half to go the last 2.5 miles. Missed all of Liars and got to our seats just in time. I’ll be taking Marta the next time I go to Lakewood

  • Brett D

What a freaking show. Rained halted the night but it was almost mythical. The stage setup is INCREDIBLE. Thom was in really good spirits. The whole band was. Just incredible. Great setlist. See you in Charlotte!

That was indeed a great show, last time I got Fake Plastic Trees and Talk Show Host live.

    TALK SHOW HOST!!!

  • http://www.myspace.com/badmojoindustries Dustin

Wow, not quite the Bonnaroo set, but this definately beats the show i saw on the Hail To The Thief tour.
Fuckin Talk Show Host? are you fucking serious!!! First Paranoid Android of the tour!!!
And wow, that new stage set-up is intense, I was tripping my balls off, although you don’t need mushrooms to appreciate the visual accompaniment.
My only quips, anti-climatic closer with House of Cards, and those tour t-shirts just aren’t worth 40 dollars.

  • John

    talk show host!!!

  • melmel

I SAW RADIOHEAD PLAY TALK SHOW HOST LIVE. I can die now.

  • Marcelo

lucky people!! the best setlist on this tour so far

  • The Singing Soldier

Talk Show Host was incredible. It’s not even one of my favorite songs but it’s a blast live. Gloaming and Where I End blow the recorded versions out of the water. National Anthem, Idioteque, and even Optimistic were exceptionally kinetic.

Also BANGERS! Along with an explanation of the song’s origins, which was amusing. Of course all the IR stuff was pitch-perfect.

I also have to say that the presentation this time around is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen outside a Pink Floyd show. I never realized the Gloaming was set in the Matrix before. :)

  • Scott

    You lucky sods!I wanna go!

  • kid54

for those not lucky to be there last night…what was the origin of Bangers and Mash that was so amusing?

  • I am your father

rain did not halt the show.

  • Justin

Apparently the song Bangers and Mash was
inspired from a party that the band
attended that was thrown by a politician,
whom Thom refused to name. The politician
laced all of the food with something, some
    kind of drug I’m assuming.

  • Larry

thom said bangers and mash is about a guys who threw a party and spiked the drinks with LSD. then he and ed said something about the guy being a politician and getting in trouble for it and for bringing in strippers

  • Mister!

you fuckholes that think they shouldn’t play as much of in rainbows as they did are fucking retarded. THEY ARE TOURING THAT ALBUM!! If you wanted to hear more of the older songs then you should have gone to see them prior to this tour. jesus!

i was at atlanta last night, first time for me to see them, and i thought it was one of the best shows i’ve ever seen… and I’m not a huge radiohead fan. I mainly went for my wife and 8 yr-old stepdaughter, whose birthday was yesterday.

You fucktards who feel the need to bash me… go right ahead. I won’t reply, and I probably won’t check this thread again, so you’ll really just be wasting your breath and time.

  • Matt

    COOL IT MISTER! heh
The show was incredible. This was my 2nd time seeing them, with the first being on the rail at Bonnaroo (between Ed & Thom). Obviously this show wasn’t Bonnaroo caliber, but none will ever be. I think this is the best set list so far, with Talk Show Host and Optimistic being the highlights for me.

  • Dawson

    best setlist yet methinks!

  • thomas

Does anyone know the songs that played between The Liars set and Radiohead’s set? Great tunes.

  • bgoss

they were playing burials untrue before they went on and the beat that they used as an intro was pretty badass as well. bangers and mash stands out in my mind as a highlight. the whole night was epic and hats off to liars for an awesome opening set. the way angus built up the suspense was just awesome.

  • thomas

bgoss many thanks. Just bought it. Was that the only band they played?

  • Mister!

heh, sorry about that Matt. I was just in a shitty mood yesterday and I took it out on those folks. my apologies.

Can’t wait to see ‘em in Houston next weekend!

  • Will

Anyone know of an audio recording of this show? I NEEDS one.

  • BDC5150

    Will,

Any luck finding a copy of the show?

  • Robin

    HTDC oh mang.
