Full Radiohead catalogue available on iTunes

Posted on June 3rd, 2008.

After EMI’s release of ‘The Best of Radiohead’ yesterday (and today in North America through Capitol), another surprise in Radiohead News: the full Radiohead catalogue is now available on iTunes.

Just like the ‘Greatest Hits’ album, Radiohead have long refused to put their music out as single tracks on iTunes. Until today, the albums were only digitally available as a full album download, such as the At Ease Download Store, which is powered by 7digital. With the release of ‘In Rainbows’ through XL and TBD records an iTunes release was a first for Radiohead. Now Radiohead’s tracks have been compiled for their Best Of album, a release on Apple’s music store was just a matter of time. So, here it is: all the album tracks and videos… download away!

Update: “There has been massive demand for Radiohead’s music on iTunes,” EMI communications SVP Jeanne Meyer told Listening Post. “Once In Rainbows was unbundled, it was a natural progression to unbundle (the rest of) their catalog” so that it would be available there.

this makes it a lot easier to get a hold of their B-sides - i got about 20 tracks today, which i’d never heard before.

It’s a travesty to go against the wishes of the band, and it’s still not able to grab artwork for all the albums in high-resolution for all the Radiohead stuff I’ve ripped over the years. Not impressed.
