I've learned to play this song on the piano and believe me, it's not simple. It's actually pretty hard to play and more complex than it seems which, if anything is a sign of maturity in the growth of their music. Complex but subtle. Complex but not distractingly so. And yes, there are a lot of major chords thus contributing to a more uplifting sound but it does more to add to the contrast when he switches to the minor chords anyway. Give them a break, guys. I think they have enough downer songs to warrant one or two uplifting ones. Besides, it's Radiohead. Without them what would we listen to? Christina Aguilera?

A nice tune for the most part, except for the bits where Thom doesn't quite hit the high notes. Sounds like he's really straining -- must've been near the end of the night.

Supercollider is a piece of software. It allows users to create their own codes for the shaping of sound. Artists such as Squarepusher and Aphex Twin are rumoured to have used it. As far as I can gather, it can also be used to create that improvised, complicated, glitchy effect on beats, a la Venetian Snares.

It could also be nothing to do with that.

Reasonable song. As mentioned above, I often find that Radiohead songs sound pretty ordinary at first, but evolve into amazing pieces of music. That said, I thought IMBW sounded incredible on pre-Amnesiac live recordings, but poop on Amnesiac.

Thom is flat in toooo many places too.
