Bonnaroo ’06: House of Cards video

As reported earlier, Fuse will be broadcasting Radiohead’s 2006 performance at the Bonnaroo Festival.

When ‘House of Cards’ wasn’t out yet, the band played the song at the festival in Manchester, Tennessee. Fuse TV have put the video of the song online as an advance preview for the broadcast tonight.

Definitely the best song of the show. There was some crazy energy out on that field when they played this one. I hope they eventually release video of this whole show.

sorry but this version is 1000x better than the one on in rainbows. thom and ed’s vocals together here are amazing.

  • Martin

This is a really fantastic version! Hope to see the whole performance.

what is those tube-like things on jonnys guitar??

  • Daan

Good version. The only thing is that there are so many camera angles, and they’re not using them …

i don’t think its the whole performance, becuase if you look on the fuse website, the programming schedule says Best of Bonnaroo Volume 1 only goes from 9:00 pm EST to 9:30 pm EST.

  • huh?

I don’t get it. this song is so static and boring, who cares about a live performance?

  • Lazycat

    This song is beatiful.

  • c-lo

it is beautiful! but i’m confused, is this actually a part of the best of bonnaroo volume 1?

  • Jokke

what is those tube-like things on jonnys guitar??

    GLowsticks.

  • KidKharma

The thing I remember most about this song was the thousands of glowsticks in the air. How was none of this captured on video. Ragardless, the song sounds great

I like ed’s backing vocals when thom is singing “Denial…”

  • Muldfeld

Thanks, Adriaan. I wonder why the blue color is bleeding; is it some visual effect to make up for Radiohead’s blue lighting and the darkness that would have otherwise made it difficult to distinguish their features? A blue night vision?

This song has a lounge feel, like Punch Up at a Wedding. It’s another song for shagging, it really is. There are times when I’m really into this song and other days when I skip it. I’m not saying it’s a weak link on In Rainbows, but it definitely is one of those songs that you need to be in the mood for.
