Follow Me Around Documentary online

Posted on June 18th, 2008.

Back in 2002, Samuel Dietz and Nazaré Costa made a documentary about the Radiohead tour through Portugal and Spain. The film is now available online.

The band played new material, which would later end up on their 2003 album ‘Hail To The Thief’. The fan made film was approved by Radiohead and is now out on YouTube in seven parts. Enjoy!

Can’t really say much for the documentary, but that is without a doubt the best interview with Thom I’ve ever seen.

a little cheesy in parts but a fun watch nonetheless. i thought that tour was one of the more exciting periods as a radiohead fan, it’s fun to relive it a bit.

the dance around the fire looked like a lot of fun, very cool. and i loved during the credits “KILLER CARS by chester” haha… but that shrieking girl really needs to stop.

Who’s that fat girl saying Radiohead watches porn and that Thom is Kermit the Frog? Poor girl, she must feel stupid now since Radiohead have seen this video.

Hey Yogitea that’s Mel. You mean you’re a radiohead fan and you haven’t met her?? She’s a bonafide radiohead gig-ologist.

Thom is really at ease and chilled in that interview (pardon the pun) which is really very unusual, he is normally much more awkward and tense - that is actually one of the best interviews I’ve seen with Thom, fair play.

I loved it. Thanks so much for making this. I did that tour. One of the best times of my life. Definitely my favorite tour. The only people who get me ‘hobby’ of following RH around are in this. It made me want to get on a plane to Germany right now.

What message board do they keep referencing in this documentary?

Ryan
June 18th, 2008

This is really cool,I’ve never seen Thom so relaxed before and that acapella version of There There is awesome. They seem like a nice bunch of people those talkboardies and that girl talking about porn is hilarious.

Question: How come it took this long to put it online?

Tim
June 18th, 2008

Is there a full, un cut video of Thom’s interview? It’s all chopped up, and cuts to different things he’s saying while he’s about to say something else.

It’s really excellent, I think. I love it!
But I’m poor at English so I couldn’t understand what they talked. ;(
Could anyone extract the sentence someday??
Thanks Nazare&Samuel!!

wow i love the 2002 version of “Lift”.

i’m glad it made it onto this film. maybe the members of Radiohead are watching it and saying, “yeah, we DO have to do something with that song.”

Couldn’t he find a better live version of “Follow Me Around” to open the film with? It’s absolutely dreadful

I like that version of “Lift” though. Fuck. Very nice

[...] Hier lang… [...]

the abundance of pricks at the rhmb is overwhelming. Pocki, Enigma are the worst I wish they would just shut the fuck up and treat people with respect. Instead of acting like know it all, I’m better than you cause I’m on the official board jerks.

Djnogameuk
June 20th, 2008

wow Djnogameuk, you obviously haven’t spent much, if any, time on the official board. As someone who frequents (or has frequented) ateast and the rhmb I must say that you are completely wrong about both enigma and pocki. enigma can sometimes like to get into arguments, but I have never ever seen pocki say anything rude or mean to anyone. So you must have either been a HUGE prick, or you are horrible at understanding messages on a messageboard.

in the above message ateast=atease.

should be obvious, but I’ll post it anyway.
