quit expecting a full band version of any of the eraser songs. They are thom yorke’s SOLO songs, why the hell would they have the full band playing, they would be radiohead song’s if that happened…

I was going to go to this gig…

Sigur Ros + Radiohead side by side… perfect

Maybe I should have gone…

Harrowdown Hill !!!!!!!!!

@PC: You should have, as should I. I’m really beating myself up for not going… Neil Young, Sigur Rós, Radiohead, gahh… I thought Ireland gig would be enough, but apparently not. I’m getting so jealous reading these reports. Shame there wasn’t a live stream either. :(

Instead I went last year. It wasn’t too shabby (with Frank Black, Tori Amos and such), but not great either.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), antibacterial soaps are not necessary, but washing your hands thoroughly with ordinary soap and warm water is one of the most effective ways to ward off infection. :harhar:

RAF - the band have said they’d like to do some of the eraser songs live. it might never happen, but it was mentioned in an interview.

I didn’t even go to the Ireland gigs because of the ridiculously overpriced tickets. It was a matter of principles. Although I didn’t go to this festival because of the price of flights etc

“quit expecting a full band version of any of the eraser songs. They are thom yorke’s SOLO songs, why the hell would they have the full band playing, they would be radiohead song’s if that happened…”

You’re right. But you’re missing one critical detail. Cymbal Rush was a Radiohead song before it was a Thom Yorke solo song. That’s why they perform it. They are not playing Eraser songs now.

Not_my_salad!
July 6th, 2008

if by perform you mean thom coming out alone on his piano, thats still solo if you ask me. I’m fine seeing these songs played solo by thom, what i don’t want to see is full band renditions of eraser songs.

RAF
July 7th, 2008

RAF, don’t be ridiculous. This isn’t a Thom Yorke concert. If a song is bing performed on stage it’s a Radiohead performance. Super Collider is not a Thom Yorke solo song. They won’t be playing any more Eraser material because Cymbal Rush was the only Eraser song that was originally a Radiohead song.

I was there! They didn’t play house of cards which was a surprise to me… A bad one, indeed! But in whole, it was a great concert although I do think they’re not a festival band. I rather want to see them on closed spaces… Much better!
