Dan Le Sac: Radiohead Own Our Soul
Radiohead are now the owners of Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip’s souls say the duo, after Thom Yorke and Co. allowed them to sample one of their songs.
The track in question is new single ‘Letter From God To Man’, which samples ‘Planet Telex’ from the ‘Head’s album ‘The Bends’.”I had to give them my soul. They keep it in a glass jar and Thom Yorke sits and looks at it.” Joked Dan Le Sac to BBC Newsbeat.
Fans can hear the sampled song on the Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip MySpace page and it’s also released as a single on Monday, July 28th. [via AngryApe]

Do Radiohead get to decide who does/doesn’t get to sample The Bends? I thought EMI owned it, or is there something in the contract that says they have to ask the band’s permission for certain things?
DLS & SP are good people so I imagine they wouldn’t do anything with the music if the band didn’t want them to, but I wonder who, legally, has to give permission to do what.

It’s a good track. I really like DLS v SP’s album. Met them in New York once too, they’re nice guys.
