Colin Greenwood contributes on film score

Posted on July 31st, 2008.

Colin Greenwood has contributed to the soundtrack of new film ‘Woodpecker’. This is the first musical project outside Radiohead for the Radiohead bassist.

The score for Alex Karpovsky’s film was performed by James Lavino, Colin Greenwood and Lee & Tyler Sargent, from Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Colin plays bass on the soundtrack, which is now available in

The album was recorded sporadically from mid-2007 to mid-2008, in London, in Colin’s home studio in Oxfordshire, and in Brooklyn, NY.  Some parts were recorded at locations on Clap Your Hands Say Yeah’s 2007 tour.

The movie Woodpecker explores the intersection of fact and fiction, manipulating our notions of documentary and narrative techniques within a tragic comedy about hope, perception, and some very very strange birds’. The album was released yesterday on iTunes, and is also available on Amazon MP3, Napster, and other online music stores.
