Three new songs? Hopefully they’ll have the record written by the end of the year.

ughhh kid a!! why didnt they start playing it earlier during the tour?!
also, they are never going to play these new songs are they? all the better, i suppose. wouldn’t want fans to keep saying the “live 2006 version was so much better!” a la videotape and house of cards.

Phil sang during There There (first time I’ve noticed it despite the Montreal show last week and many YouTube clips).

With all due respect, a lot of you sound like such spoiled brats.
Do you seriously feel at 25 song setlist, with 2 encores, is a lacking setlist?
The band has (excl PH) 6 albums and tons of other material to choose from and sadly, can’t play for 4 hours.
Personally, I’ve seen them now 4 times since 2003 and feel blessed each and every time.
Just some of the ppl here sound sooooo fuckin pissy, like they expect Thom to perform just for them, in their driveway, THEIR setlist, soooo bloody frustrating.
That said, Mansfield was very impressive, was more than pleased to see WATD. National Anthem and Gloaming were quite amazing, among others….

DAMMIT. Why didn’t they play this last night? Paranoid Android and How to Disappear Completely in the same set would have brought tears to my eyes. Optimistic, Karma Police, Wolf at the Door, and I Might Be Wrong are just icing on the cake.

August 14th, 2008
great great great show. it was my 11th show which occurred 11 years after and 11 days before the 1st show I saw.
and yes, phil was mic’d during reckoner. he also sung along (although not mic’d) on about one third of the songs. for anyone who said they were slipping recently, you couldn’t have been more wrong. They were fucking on last night. It wasn’t the most creative (in terms of changing songs around) show I’ve seen, but definately the most intimate in years.

August 14th, 2008
Is anyone besides me tired of Paranoid Android and Exit Music? And what was the deal with Idioteque tonight? Every time I hear that song it sounds less like a song and more like a videogame.
That said, the In Rainbows songs were awesome. And The Bends into Faust Arp was a pretty great back to back.

Oop, in the comment above substitute “Exit Music” with “Karma Police”. I’ll never get tired of Exit Music. ![]()

paranoid android says a lot about the band. It displays so much of their style, creativity, and growth. It brings back tons great of memories for me, particularly being live at the 10 spot show with all the peeps from #p_d So, to answer your question, no i’ll never get tired of hearing it.

Awesome show, the lights are amazing, amazing! They played soo tight last night its hard to explain, the crowd was very much into it, that show is now top 3 live preformaces i have ever seen of any band. How to disapear, i might be wrong are you kidding me? Cymbal rush? Watd? Just any amazing show. Now where can i find my recording??

Great show last night. The band, particularly Thom, were really into it, and it was an excellent set list. It was the fourth time I’d seen them, and this was the best show of the four.

Twas a grand show.
I almost shed a tear during Reckoner. How to Disappear Completely was amazing. Arpeggi (which I’ve heard probably hundreds of times now) was unbelievable.
Cymbal Rush was a nice surprise, though I might’ve preferred Super Collider.

August 14th, 2008
Extraordinary. Maybe even topped All Points West. I couldn’t have asked for a better show.
Hearing I Might Be Wrong –> Paranoid Android –> Wolf at the Door –> How to Disappear made my night. Magnificent.
And I wish the band would offer a big public “fuck you” to everyone who screams through “Exit Music,” ruining it every time. It was especially bad last night.

People seek attention.
I was thinking of emptying my vocal chords during Cymbal Rush, but only to piss off Thom and get mentioned on the internet.
Then I realized that I wasn’t 9 years old.

I’m really glad I got to hear The Bends. I didn’t think they’d play after the NJ show.
Kid A, Exit Music, and How to Disappear were definite highlights.

I was there last night and it was incredible. I’ve been keeping up with the setlist from the tour this year and I must say that the songs from last night outdid every single show thus far. It was brilliant.

Going to see radiohead tommorow in TO for the last time in a long time. Really excited, but nervous. If your reading this Thom don’t play House of Cards, it’s not my favorite, and you play it every time. Please play I might be wrong, and wolf at the door.
Thanks
Mike
August 15th, 2008
Better version of Android than last time when they played it early in the set. It was worth the 5 year wait for WATD. Hearing the Bends again was great; reminded me of walking in to their last show opening for REM (Hartford ‘95). Also think Reckoner is a better opener than 15 Step.
Mike
August 15th, 2008
yeah opening with reckoner was brilliant
and yeah thom was being sarcastic after WATD he knew we were all going insane and didn’t need to be told the name of the song..lol

August 15th, 2008
one of the most enjoyable things about this set for me was when thom played a tad of “dr. baker” by the beta band right before they went into “everything in its right place”

“Last Flowers”!! About f@$*ing time! Hopefully they actually follow through with that one unlike “I Might Be Wrong” which has been soundchecked but not played like a dozen times now.
