Radiohead singles set for 12″ vinyl reissue
After a successful reissue of Capitol’s catalogue of Radiohead’s albums on vinyl, it seems to be time to take it to the next level. Twelve Radiohead singles are set for a re-release on limited edition vinyl.
The series of singles includes the rare Drill EP. However, all the covers are of the actual size of the original 5″ CD singles printed as a sticker on the special branded single jacket of the 12″ vinyl. All releases are on 180-gram vinyl. The included singles are Drill, Creep, My Iron Lung, Just, Fake Plastic Trees, High and Dry, Street Spirit [fade out], Paranoid Android, Karma Police, No Surprises, Pyramid Song, There There and 2+2=5. The singles will be out on April 21, 2009 and are now available for pre-order at Insound.

Lovely, but which b-sides? Insound hasn’t got a tracklist.

That’s cause they can’t get the Hi Res Artwork for the big vinyl slips. Pretty poor way to treat such classic music. But that’s record companies for you.

go to hell capitol. Way to ruin Drill’s value right down the crapper.
At least they didn’t reprint the Drill CD…

A good way to guess which b-sides on it is to go to the discography page here on atease. click one of the singles, then match the picture of the vinyl art. that is most likely the tracks on it. but then again.. I have no idea..

I mean, boo to Capitol and all, but I was able to pick up one of those new reissues of Amnesiac for $13.99 at my local record store. I’ve been putting off buying that for years, so if this means affordable RH vinyl, reissue away folks.

Look at how terrible those album (single) covers look. Why would they do this?

this is bittersweet. good one to capitol for actually doing something for the FANS, but what the fuck is with that artwork… that’s just fuckin lazy.

Capitol Records should change their name to “CAPITAL Records” with all of this money they are making off the band!
