Radiohead were very prominent at the recent Fashion Week in New York City. Not in person, but on a lot of playlists. One of those playlists was even curated by Thom Yorke.
We’ve received some Twitter messages about Thom Yorke playing some kind of role at the New York Fashion Week at the Rag & Bone Fashion show. It turned out that there was indeed some truth in that. The Radiohead frontman, who was apparently wearing Rag & Bone at his Grammy performance, curated the soundtrack of the Rag & Bones fashion show. Tracks included Squarepusher’s ‘Freeman, Hardy, and Willis Acid’, Modeselektor’s “Dark Side of the Sun’, Björk’s ‘The Dull Flame of Desire’ and ‘II B.S.’ by Charles Mingus.
Vanity Fair collected all the tracks played during the fashion shows and the Radiohead-ratio is very high. Shipley & Halmos topped the list with and all-Radiohead playlist: Twelve Radiohead songs and two by Thom Yorke. Spurr included two Kid A tracks (‘Kid A’ and ‘Idioteque’) and Jillian Lewis played ‘Arpeggi/Weird Fishes’.
