Thom Yorke will donate a track for a Mark Mulcahy tribute album. The frontman of Miracle Legion released albums in the 80s and 90s with the band and also recorded three solo albums.

Pitchfork reports of the tribute album, with Miracle Legion track ‘All For The Best’. Late last year, Mulcahy’s wife Melissa died unexpectedly, leaving him to take care of his three-year-old twin daughters. If Mulcahy is going to keep making music, he’ll need help.

‘Ciao My Shining Star: The Songs of Mark Mulcahy’ will be out on September 29th, 2009 through Shout! Factory. The album also includes cover songs recorded by Michael Stipe, Mercury Rev, Frank Black, The National and Dinosaur Jr.
