Incredible setlist. I heard they played the YYYs “Maps” as an intro to EIIRP. Interesting.

Top setlist! Heard people slagging off the leeds set compared to reading but for a more-than-casual fan this was much better.

Crowd were great too (well they were around me, and i was quite far back. The silent trance-like atmosphere while they played Videotape was stunning, everyone was mesmorised

  • David

The crowd up front were awful, kept crushing and a lot of very aggressive people. Show was ace though, although from the setlist on the piano I don’t think EIIRP was the intended closer.

Soundchecked: All I Need, Bodysnatchers, Lucky

  • umm

“Maps” before EEIRP was a nice touch. Incredible show!

  • f.liss

was brilliant, everyone here is talking about maps before eiirp….but what about rock lobster before just?? :D

Loved the gig and delighted they played 2 of my favourites – Morning Bell and Wolf at the Door! And the light show was amazing having only seen it in daylight at the Manchester gig last year.

Can’t decide which gig I preferred… maybe Manchester but only cos it was my first time seeing them, and that Lucky 3rd encore we got then was unbelievably good.

  • Interstellar_Burst

Anyone know what the intended ending to the setlist was? They said before they played Just, that they had decided to change it a bit.

I’m guessing that they had another encore of 2/3 additional songs planned, including Just, but decided to play that and EIIRP earlier cos they ran out of time. A single encore of SIX songs is a little unusual for them.

Either that or they knew the festival crowd were wanting another big hit so threw Just in.

Was a bit pissed off though that ed’s setlist appeared on the screen and everyone was trying to analyse everything on it. Why would you want to know whats coming up? Its all part of the fun not knowing!

seems like leeds was a better set list. Overall decent show but nothing to write home about.

  • Jude Smith

    Amazing gig, as usual.

Was topped off for me by getting to go backstage, meet Thom and chat to him for half an hour after they came off stage.

He was very friendly and we had a really good laugh before the band had to get on the bus and head to Reading. He came across as a really genuine, down to earth guy and it was great to talk to him about some non-musical stuff.

If you read this Thom, thanks again and let me what you make of the book.

    Cheers

    Jude

Forget to say, it was amazing to wake up in my tent on Saturday morning to the sounds of Radiohead soundchecking in the distance! All I Need, Bodysnatchers, and Lucky from what I remember…
