    Saturday can’t come soon enough!!
    Such wonderful setlists.

  • Allison

Please play Lotus Flower or True Love Waits, Thom!!! We love your vulnerability, it’s beautiful.

  • thetourist

it should be noted that The Daily Mail was full band, too

  • temp

Thom changed the first line… can anyone make out the new one?

  • G.+la pamtalla

    things getting rounded . . . ah ! sounds so powerful [ heart powerful ] _excelent !

  • Stefano

This song keeps growing inside me…

  • silentshout0

    first line “when we dance…”

  • nsfw

So sick. New Yorkers had to watch Thom in the worst piece of crap warehouse where no one could see very well and the sound was horrendous. Looks like Boston got a beautiful theater and looking at some of the other dates like Oakland, looks like NYC can’t put on a good show.
So glad livenation ruined our experience.

  • performingmonkey

Can’t believed he’s changed some of it. Why mess with perfection?? I don’t mind ‘when we dance…’ that much but some of the guitar now sounds crap, and the way he originally sang ‘it’s no-one’s buiiiiiisnes but miiiine’ better be on the studio version! Maybe he just hadn’t practised it that much for this show.

  • Muldfeld

This is still the best new song and I can’t wait for it to come out on the next album — hopefully in full band form, but maybe also in Thom solo version, perhaps as a b-side on a CD single.

I’d appreciate it if people would shut up during the performances. Silence shows your love, not screaming!

I like that he changed “This dance” to “When we dance”, too.

musically, this just sounds like Reckoner.

like spinning plates :( after surviving a freaking manhole explosion and the longest line ever it would have been nice to get this one in new york too. but it’s just another excuse to see him again i guess. you are lucky boston!

I like how he doesn’t even hesitate after he tunes his guitar up, like he wants to show what he’s got to all those “new song” haters…
Like the changes, im wondering about the very end though, it goes back to the first guitar part-

  • dave w.

i LOVE Thom, will follow him to the ends of the earth, but DAMN i was really really hoping he’d be playing Hearing Damage on this tour…maybe just MAYBE they’ll play it in Chicago:D THAT would make my summer.

  • pantalones and g’s

i truly wish for thom that the smile of pleasure he expresses while the solo part on the daily mail stays on his heart and mind forever __HE IS great __period hehe

  • stefano

Present Tense is somewhere between Reckoner and Twisted Words…

A video of The Daily Mail w/band?

  • 15steppy

i mean he’s just a genius isn’t he. present tense is achingly beautiful. the melody really gets inside me.

  • p+G=ntrs and more

stefano . . . yes the video its online – i even thought it was a mistake and it was just thom solo, but hell ! wow ! haha ! just wait and enjoy . . .

    @15steppy : melody ? oh yes ! ! ! i agree . . . it just stays in you after the song . . . its beauty.

@everyone else . . . does it really counts or is it important if it is similar or reminds you or werever to another song of him/or RD ? just let it flow and enjoy ! ! !

  • madaski

You got Fog in NY snail! What more do you want!?!?! Don’t be greedy!

  • reverse engines

It should be noted that The Present Tense was very sincerely dedicated to Jonny…. “this one’s for Jonny”

Jesus this show was BEAUTIFUL! The only song I was dying to hear was the present tense, and he played it first thing when he came out for the solo set! So gorgeous! His voice was amazing the whole night, he has this new R&B thing going on now, its pretty clear when you listen to bostons version of the present tense. Jesus it was a great show. My god.

    LOL THE WANG THEATRE

  • redg_rl

the show at the wang (ha-ha)wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. i suppose it depended upon whom yr neighbours were seating-wise. the band sounded great & thom was dancing alot which was a pleasure to see, especially with flea & all but the crowd? awful. somebody here commented about silence & clearly not everyone understands that. we don’t want to hear YOU, we came to listen to the MUSIC. the rude folks behind us were so obnoxiously loud that it was hard to hear the music at times. i should stop giving boston chances when it comes to live music cos folks just don’t get it here & it is so intensely disappointing. the night should have been memorable for its beauty. i wish everyone else a more bs-free & smooth evening.

i was at last night in Chicago. Mad love for waste side entry!! no line. “I froze up” wow. new “control” song sounds gorgeous. thank god i had a blood sugar issue during he opening act and watched as over a hundred people passed me on the stairs and didn’t ask if i needed help, I thought i was gonna need medical attention. phew, for a minute there I lost myself and my girlfriend. I don’t blame them; Thom Yorke was coming up. I’d have passed me too. going again tonight!!! Fog, or how bout gagging order tonight thom? Skirting on the surface maybe?

  • la panta pantaleon

    are you really going 2 nights in a raw . . . lucky dancing ass . . .
