‘Beavis and Butthead’ are set to make their television comeback. The animated duo commented on music videos on MTV in 90′s. Yes, MTV showed actual music videos back then. Sources at MTV confirmed that a new series is in the works.
So just for old time’s sake, check the clip of Beavis and Butthead episode where they commented on Radiohead’s ‘Creep’.
Beavis: ‘What… what’s going on…? How come they don’t just, like, play that cool part through the whole song?’
Butthead: ‘Well, Beavis, if they didn’t have, like, a part of the song that sucked, then, it’s like, the other part wouldn’t be as cool.’
Beavis: ‘Really? You’re pretty smart Butthead. Hey, here it comes again. Yes! Yes! Raaawk…!’
Capitol Records, Radiohead’s US record label in ’93, used Beavis and Butthead in their marketing campaign promoting the band’s debut album ‘Pablo Honey’. Check the ad, published in Spin Magazine. Also note, if you wanted to write (yes, in the 90′s we still wrote letters) to Capitol, all Radiohead related mail had to be addressed to “I Wanna Be A Creep”. [via Reconstructed]
