Stanley Donwood’s King Cnut was on the cover of Thom Yorke’s album The Eraser. Today, Thom Yorke asks you to be part of a human King Cnut to be visible from space as part of Earth 350.

We posted on Thom Yorke’s commitment to Earth350 earlier this week, the project to make images visible from space, supporting awareness of climate change.

    I love Thom Yorke but this climate change garbage is getting old. It has nothing to do with us and it has nothing to do with charging the poor more worthless taxes that the rich are going to consume out of our economies and put them in an offshore bank account. I hope Thom is not for real about this. Give me a break. In California, USA the people voted for electric cars to be produced but Chrysler, Ford, and Chevrolet sued California. We know what is really going on. Unfortunately, Thom does not. Unless he’s in on this scam that is perpetuating in his mind. But don’t feel sad for me. I’m not buying this CRAP.

    dito raymond, i doubt the seriousness of those glossy mass events “for” the environment myself and re Th. Yorke: you used to be alright, what happened? does it please you to arrange the masses in neat grainy pictures and to send your eraser-conterfei to the heilpromising orbit? We in Germany are a bit concerned about all kinds of Wave behaviours. It seems in the UK you should be even more so. The Assassination of all kinds of big brothers (be it in shops or by satellite) should be more prevailing than punching tattoos. But mankind as well as the planet is doomed anyhow. No hope.
