Radiohead’s Glastonbury ’97 show on BBC Four

BBC Television will broadcast Radiohead’s Glastonbury appearance from June 28th, 1997. So, if you have access to BBC Four you can go 13 years back in time and enjoy their epic performance.

You’ll have to stay up late for it on this School night. Show starts at 1:15 (GMT). Yes, that’s Monday morning (or Sunday night if you want). One hour long of commercial-free Radiohead. Below is the full setlist and a video of Creep from that show.

    Well, it’s basically ‘the hits’ left in, isn’t it? Most missed the beautiful segue between The Bends and Nice Dream (not the other way around as listed above). Entertaining noticing the escalating lighting and monitor problems driving Thom mad – but driving them to pull some top performances out of the bag. I make the broadcast setlist as follows:

    It was a classic but controversially I dont think their best although thom voice was magical they’ve improved as musicians since.
    I think glastonbury 2003 was their best becuase it had the fulll spectrum of radiohead can we reall have rh setlist without idioteque pyramid song, eiirp (their official closer) and there there amongst all their other great post ok computer stuff? If all you liked was the bends and ok computer it was their best performance but if you love ALL radiohead stuff you cant beat glasto 2003 plus, thom was a bit more jolly and you gotta love the gloaming dance – classic!
