Colin Greenwood plugs Stand UP For Japan on Dead Air Space

Colin Greenwood just updated Dead Air Space with a post bringing attention to a benefit for Japan that is happening at XOYO in London on May 1.

The lineup includes: 2 Many DJs, Andrew Weatherall, Erol Alkan, Damo Suzuki and Guests (Live), Caribou (DJ), Spider And The Flies (Live) , Skull Juice, Connan Mockasin (Live), The Horrors (DJ), Black Cat DJs, Barry 7 (DJ), Giles Deacon (DJ), Big Vern Burns , A-Line (Live),  Alakazam! plus more to be announced.

In addition to that massive lineup, the event will also feature a charity auction. All funds raised from the night will benefit Civic Force who are currently providing much needed aid and relief services to northern Japan.

    yes I feel that it’s best that way. It’s not that I’m a mean person, I’m sure you see that. It’s a justifiable request. I think it’s a necessary arrangement for me to fulfill my function here the way I’d like to, the way I should. I feel I have a duty. There are many more reasons I’ll be here for as many long hours, for as many days as it takes; some of them are extremely personal reasons. I’m sure you’ll be more than willing to provide the environment required for me to sustain that kind of commitment. I’m sure you see that I’m in dire need of assistance. I want to play all of this out and just move on. I’m sure you understand. I appreciate how much you understand. Separate rooms. Opposite entrances and exits. Restraining order. Can I also please have a bottled water and pack of cigarettes. Thank you.
