Well this is a bit unexpected. TV by the Numbers is reporting that Radiohead will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live’s season premiere on September 24. The episode, hosted by the hilarious Alec Baldwin, will mark Radiohead’s second appearance on the show, the first coming back in October of 2000 when the band played SNL to promote the release of Kid A. I may be biased but that appearance was one of the most memorable musical performances I’ve ever seen on the show. I’d embed a video of that but NBC has managed to scrub those videos every time they appear on YouTube.
Anyway, something to look forward to next month. Now, let the tour rumour mill kick into high gear in the comments…
