  • £20.00 for a fucking blu-ray?

    What a pisstake.

And don’t give me any of that crap about “you don’t have to buy it”, being a fan of a group should not result in having to pay rip-off prices.

  • Blu-Ray seems good but I already have dvd. so fuck u and ur family

  • @Dave … being a fan has nothing to do with buying merch. Why would you buy the blu-ray, it’s not a HD movie with great effects and visuals

i want the book. that’d be interesting. i still need stanleys donwoods ‘dead children playing’.

also why do they do this hype BS of releasing a dvd/bluray the same day they sell presale tickets.

  • @brttdmkr – it is a HD movie, it was shot in 1080p.

  • Yass – about time – watched on you tube but its not the same – dont care for blu ray, ill buy the dvd – wish they would release on beta max !

  • also, did they release the In Rainbows from the basement ??? would like to purchase that as well ! thanks !

  • The Basement played better than the album.

    I don’t buy extra merchandise.

  • Lovely. Will always buy stuff Radiohead tell me to. Will make a nice Xmas present for myself.

  • How are people not interested in BluRay! When it comes to Radiohead I want the best audio and visual I can get.

Just having a listen to it now! It is pretty cool to be fair, although for £20 they should have put the In Rainbows/2008 version on there as well. Bit mean for just 10 songs, but that seems to be radiohead these days!

  • £20 is cheap for a Blu-Ray in Norway, so for me its perfect. i just hope that its not just the dvd thats in a book-format.

  • Blu ray is a rip off, ! thats why,

  • [...] You can now pre-order Radiohead’s performance of The King Of Limbs – Live From The Basement on DVD and BluRay.  The DVD features Supercollider which does not appear in the original footage.  The releases is accompanied with a 32-page book with photos by Steve Keros.  It will be available on iTunes on December 19th and in stores by the end of January according to At Ease. • Your not getting this.

  • As Radiohead fans we are suppose to buy this right?

  • Yes! This is way better than concert tickets. This is absolutely fantastic news, especially since I haven’t watched this special yet and can save it for nice TV viewing! Thank you so much, Radiohead. Now, if you could also release the 2008 “From the Basement” performance on DVD as well!

  • I can’t believe I am reading posts of fellow Radiohead fans sighing and crying about subjects spanning from the price, the blu-ray option or even considering not purchasing at all. I mean come on my fellow Radiyed’s!!! At a time where crappy bands such as Kings of Leon, who cancelled their recent tour due to drug and alcohol issues, stickin’ it to there fans, and yet have the nerve to release “Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon” expecting said fans to gobble it up and buy it, we should be revelling at this moment with this video release. These guys have gone far too long without a release like this, especially a band of their caliber. So you can stick to your bootlegs, Bootleggers, I for one am front and center to purchase the blu-ray version of TKOL: FTB, right quick! It’ll be a nice winter coffee night w/ friends in front of my 42″ Samsung 1080i HD with 5.1 surround, taking in the splendor of the best band on the planet.

  • wow isn’t this too late kind of stuff, im already sick of the king of limbs, radiohead needs to write albums like kid a and amnesiac again, it falls into the Im sick already music thing nowdays

  • yep i agree Reckonah! me already ordered blu ray. sick of the constant winging from so called radiohead fans. never happy.

  • I will only buy their digital music, simple as that! No more merchandise for me. (no pun intended)

    :-)

  • Did I read that there will be a download included if you bought it directly form the Radiohead web site?

  • I agree DAVE!
20 pounds = $31 Australia dollars for me. For One Hour of entertainment, that price is way it too High for my liking.

You can buy Hollywood, blockbuster Movies for half that price and they cost in the Hundreds of Millions of Dollars.

I guess RH are making up for it – from giving away In_Rainbows for Free (or close to it) !?!

  • I for one am extremely excited about this release. Since they announced tkol from the basement sessions, I was hoping they would release it on dvd/blueray in the near future. I am still very much loving tkol as well as the other songs from the session, although I didnt bother purchasing any of the remixes ( just not my taste, no disrespect) And I very much enjoyed watching tkol live from the basement, a wonderful performance in my opinion. I think it’s a great addition to the collection. Thank you very much Radiohead for releasing this.

  • Adrian or Shaun, would you please fire all the moderators and administrators, except Goudvis and Crazy Disco Party. At Ease message boards could be an unpleasant before, but now you can’t even put the bullies on “Ignore”, so it’s positively intolerable. I’m constantly accosted simply for existing. Not a month goes by when I’m not met with unprovoked bullying by them. It’s really sickening. They even make fun of folks who are upset by their bullying by quoting them, mocking at how folks can’t do anything to stop them.

Fix this! This is unworthy of Radiohead.

  • subalien, please spare me your blasphemous reasoning, and change your post name. You are a disgrace to the song on the best album, made by said artist. Ha, ha. Just kiddin’ Well My opinion is my opinion. First live professional shots since 1994′s Live at Astoria and that is horribly outdated both quality-wise and catalog-wise for Radiohead. Correct me if I’m wrong? Anyway, just thought we as RH fans would collectively be excited about this. This is a Radiohead fan site, right?

  • Must have now!

Finally a music dvd to rival live from pompeii – pink floyd in blu ray!!!!

    radiohead are the coolest!

  • @ Reckonah! Yes, your opinion is your opinion. And My opinion is my opinion.
As for a true Fan. I brought alot of things they Release. Have 2 copy of all their albums, standard and limited version. brought t-shirts, their Calendars, vhs and dvds..even thom and stanley book. I will allow myself to complain at lease about one thing! Since I spend a lot of money on RH things for the Last 16 years!
Asking for a reason price is not too much to ask. I Think.

  • This is great news but I think the In Rainbows: From the Basement is even better and really wish they would release that one on blu-ray as well. What’s stopping them?

  • Orbital rule man lol

  • Awesome news!

  • Of course the first live performance they release contains material I couldn’t care less about. Live or on record, these tracks are straight out boring. I think this album didn’t generate the buzz they wanted it to (as In Rainbows did), and this really just stinks of a cash grab.

  • I should clarify, by ‘first’ I obviously mean first live material officially released on dvd since the now 15+ year old astoria set

  • It will be nice to see this in Hmv.

  • I would prefer a double live album with live pictures in a cd case. I think The King Of Limbs From The Basement dvd is good but the album is better. I wasnt keen on the parts showing the band talking when I watched it on youtube.com/radiohead but I think this would be worth buying and I hope they release live audio as well. lp9 is promising. looking forward to the world tour 2012.

  • I already download the all concert in HQ… im just gonna waint until supercollider gets leaked and then download it

  • um… isn’t the only good song of the bunch on YouTube already? What’s the point in this?

Just make a new album already – with real music this time

  • I can’t believe some fans posting here. Radiohead finally releases something on DVD and those who want the content aren’t willing to pay for it? If you don’t have the funds, fine, but my guess is all of you do and are just making excuses for stealing from a band we love. That’s not right. Radiohead aren’t assigned to a major label, so this is especially risky. Why don’t we reward them by paying for it, instead of just watching it on youtube or, even worse, downloading it illegally? If you don’t want the content, fine; then don’t ever watch it. However, if you do, you have a responsibility to pay for it.

Let’s support Radiohead, so we can get more stuff from the band. The more folks steal now, the less chance we have of ever seeing similar releases in the future. It has to be profitable to the band.

  • Bravo, totally agree. This is the group that I love, so I’m willing to pay so they can continue to write such a wonderful music … It is a choice and I do it gladly.

  • Did this ever get released on British television? I can’t remember if it did or not. Anyway, agree with the comments about Blu-ray, no way am I paying that much. Might just ask for the DVD for Christmas, makes things easier.

  • Quit bitching people…this is awesome news

  • I thought the performance was uninspired and disjointed, more a practice session than a performance. Like any offering, people should buy music and products they enjoy, Radiohead isn’t a charity to support, you vote your support with your money.

  • It’s a nice dvd to put in your Radiohead videography…
If u love this band and respect their operate, you must own it, otherwise you’re not a real 100% fan…
On the other hand I completely understand what brings somebody to give up to the purchase: lack of money and lack of will to watch again something that’s already been watched (and this is gonna be the main group of fans)…

  • The videography should be included with this. Supercollider should be great. These Are My Twisted Words should have been played.
    Described simply as “Shit sandwich”.

  • What is everyone (mostly) f**ing complaining about?

    20 pounds for a BR, DVD, 32-page booklet and a digital download… That’s expensive?

You people seem too alarmingly spoiled. My apologies.

  • You’ll all got some nerves indeed :)
